Beschreibung

This book provides a comprehensive overview of recent developments in network dynamics and control with applications to supply chains, manufacturing and logistics systems. It systemizes these developments in the form of new taxonomies and methodological principles to shape the research domain of supply network dynamics control. Uniquely, the book links the fundamentals of control and system theories and artificial intelligence with supply chain and operations management. It addresses the needs of researchers and practitioners alike, revealing the challenges and opportunities of supply chain and operations management by means of dynamic system analysis.

Autorenportrait

Dr. Alexandre Dolgui is a fellow of the IISE, a Distinguished Professor and Head of the Automation, Production and Computer Sciences Department at the IMT Atlantique, Nantes, France. His research focuses on combinatorial design of manufacturing systems, production planning, scheduling and supply chain optimization under uncertainty. He has co-authored five and edited 25 books, published 278 articles in refereed journals and over 400 articles in conference proceedings, and has received several international awards. He is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Production Research.

Dr. Dmitry Ivanov is a Professor of Supply Chain and Operations Management at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin), Germany. He is the author of over 370 publications, including over 120 papers in international academic journals and a leading textbook: Global Supply Chain and Operations Management. His main research interests include ripple effect control in supply chains, structural dynamics control methods for supply chain networks, Industry 4.0, and digital supply chain twins. He is actively engaged in editorial work for several leading international journals including Associate Editor positions in International Journal of Production Research and OMEGA.

Dr. Boris Sokolov is Head of the Laboratory of Information Technologies in System Analysis and Modeling at Saint Petersburg Institute of Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPIIRAS). He is a founder of a new scientific direction in the field, which focuses on automating the management processes for technical objects associated with the complex analysis and management of processes in critical applications. Over the past years, he has intensively developed an original applied theory of proactive control and management for structural dynamics. He has published numerous books and over 600 articles for academic journals.
